Always…safety first

Thejo Australia Pty Ltd. has laid down policies and procedures which are regulated by the following Acts:

  • The Occupational Safety and Health Act 1984 (The OSH Act)
  • The Occupational Safety and Health Regulations 1996 (the OSH regulations) supported by codes of practice and guidance notes

It is the objective of Thejo to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the company’s employees, sub contractors and visitors and members of the public through the provision of a safe and risk-free workplace environment and safe systems of work.

Thejo have a safety consultant on board to close out the ISO 45001 Accreditation in Health and Safety.

It is Thejo’s intention to protect our employees from accident or ill health at work.

The company will seek to ensure that all our equipment and systems do not constitute a risk to the Health & Safety of our employees and we will consult with employees on risk improvements.

Our approach to Health & Safety as far as is reasonably practicable will be:

  1. To Provide a Safe Place of Work.
  2. To continue to identify and control hazards.
  3. To prevent as far as is reasonably possible, any improper conduct or behavior likely to put the Safety, Health & Welfare of employees at risk.
  4. To consult with staff on all Health & Safety matters.
  5. To provide protective clothing and equipment where necessary.
  6. To provide a safe means of entering and leaving the building.
  7. To provide a safe system of work practices.
  8. To provide appropriate information and training to staff members on a continuous basis.
  9. To make Health & Safety a key issue.
